Work with us
Become a patient companion
If you are patient, reliable and good with older adults, this is work where a single careful morning changes someone's week.
The role
What is a patient companion?
A patient companion accompanies a patient to a medical appointment and manages everything around the clinical care: getting there, registering, queueing, moving between departments, taking notes and getting home again.
The role is non-clinical. You will never be asked to give medical advice, administer medication or perform nursing tasks. What matters most is patience, punctuality and the ability to keep a nervous person calm.

Your responsibilities
- Meet the patient at the agreed time and place, without exception
- Assist with registration, queueing and moving between departments
- Provide wheelchair or walking support where required
- Take clear notes during the consultation
- Assist at pharmacy, billing and insurance counters
- Send agreed progress updates to the nominated family member
- Submit a short written summary after the appointment
- Escalate anything unexpected to the coordinator immediately
Candidate requirements
- At least 21 years old and legally permitted to work in Malaysia
- Conversational English plus at least one of Malay, Mandarin, Tamil or a dialect
- Comfortable communicating with elderly patients and their families
- Physically able to assist with wheelchairs and short walking support
- Reliable smartphone and prompt responsiveness to messages
- Able to travel to hospitals within your preferred coverage area
- Willing to complete reference checks and sign a confidentiality undertaking
- Healthcare or caregiving experience is an advantage, not a requirement
